Past events

Over the last 25 years the Friends of Cannon Hill Common have hosted a wide variety of activities. These have included bird, flower, tree, bat and butterfly walks - all led by local experts in these fields. We also organise at leat one litter pick each year.

Birds

In the past we spotted wood pigeons, magpies,
green woodpeckers and many others.

Trees

The common is home to a wide variety of trees, including Stumpy, an oak tree that is at least 250 years old.

Bats

This walk often happens in late September - the various bats can be seen swooping over the lake feasting on tasty flying insects.
